Don’t Believe the Lie!

Today, we are bombarded by news of murders and hate crimes. It seems that, at every turn, we are hearing, seeing, or experiencing something negative that reminds us about the disintegration of our society. Many would say there is no hope. Don’t believe the lie!

For quite a while now, some pastor friends on Facebook have posted about the revival going on in Burlington, NC. It just keeps going and going and going. These people are hungry for a move of God and are experiencing it. People are being saved, lives are being changed, and they can’t get enough. People are driving for miles because they’re hungry for it. I know that people are saying that revivals and tent meetings don’t work anymore and that people don’t have time for something like that. Do the bare minimum at your church to keep them interested – Don’t believe the lie!

God is up to something. He is just as capable now as He was years ago. We can still cry out to Him because He is still able to answer prayer and do “exceeding abundantly above all that we can ask or think”. He can still save the most “screwed up” people. When someone tries to tell you all the doom and gloom trumps the power of God, DON’T BELIEVE THE LIE!

If I were preaching this right now, I would probably be slobbering all over a microphone. I believe this. My God can do anything. We spend a lot of time saying it, but do we really believe it? When the devil tries to convince you otherwise, be bold and refuse to believe the lie!

It is high time that we as Christians get fired up about something. When evil starts prevailing around us, we need to get fired up and start loving people who are acting out of their own sinful nature. We need to get fired up enough to tell our friends, coworkers, and anyone who will listen about the One who is able to forgive all sin if we will call upon Him. The devil will say you’re not qualified, but don’t believe the lie!

I know things are bad, but they’re not over. While we still have time, we must take advantage of the time we have left. When you’re tempted to believe you don’t have enough time to do what God has commanded you to do, DON’T BELIEVE THE LIE!
