I’m on Crutches

I know you’re looking for some kind of story where I injured myself and am hobbling around with the aid of crutches. Well, I hate to disappoint you. I have an invisible set of crutches. What on Earth could I mean?

Many people are guilty of accusing Christians for using God as a crutch. I am proud to say that I am weak and that I need the Lord. I need His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, who saved my soul when I was 6 years old. I need His direction. His strength is made perfect in weakness according to 2 Corinthians 12.

Go ahead! Tell me about my crutch! And I will proudly brag on Him and His power in my life. I can assure you that I will hold on to these crutches for the rest of my life.

  1. Amen! I often say that very thing! Also, you shouldn’t try to steal a lame woman’s crutches. That’s mean, like trying to take candy from babies. If you behave like that, you obviously need a crutch too! 🙂

  2. Ha! I wrote something (a much more wordy something) along the same line a year or two ago. 😉 Glad for my Crutch who is there to keep me from falling so, so many times!

  3. I walk with either Forearm crutches or walker and sometimes a Wheelchair!!

GOD BLESS ALL my Sisters and Brothers in Christ-Messiah Jesus-Yeshua and Your Families and Friends!!

Love ❤ Always and Shalom ( Peace ), YSIC \o/

  4. Great comparison and Truth Matthew! Blessings to you for quick healing and keeping your spirits up.

Coincidentally I fell off a church step touring this gorgeous 100 year old church in a “First Friday” event last Friday and fractured my fibula. Once again we have something in common – don’t tell me God doesn’t have a sense of humor! “Enough already, God!” If you are like me, this has only brought you closer to the Lord. As God says, “Tribulations worketh patience” of yes, 🙂 Continue to pray for spiritual strength for my pastor husband and me, as we battle controlling, unspiritual members causing controversary behind the scenes and hoping Dave quits. It’s a heavy time of testing but we rely on Proverbs 3:5,6 always. So I guess there are no down sides if we trust Him. ❤

  5. I find great encouragement in that scripture. Paul could easily boast about everything he was granted in gifts by God, but instead with the thorn at his side, he can boast about his weakness so the power of Christ may rest upon him. Amen!
